The Fuchsia Elephant Trail began as a memory of ancient Rajasthani hunting textiles, where elephants moved through royal gardens and their images were embroidered onto fabrics for palaces and courtyards. Here, this old story has been given a completely new life in a pink that is impossible to miss. 🐘💗
Against a vibrant Magenta Pink cotton fabric background, six hand-embroidered elephants move. Two pairs in deep Indigo Blue and one pair in Sky Blue. Their bodies are outlined with crisp white chain stitches, and on their sides sparkle Orange and Cornflower Blue details, reminiscent of elephants painted for Indian temple festivals.
A wild embroidered garden surrounds the elephants. Black herringbone stitch vines climb over the back and sleeves, with tiny orange and Cerulean Blue flowers in between. A grey chain stitch vine meanders through the entire composition, like a river seeking its way. The collar and hem are framed by a more modest white and grey embroidery, just the right quiet border for all this joyous riot of color. ✨
Every knot, line, and elephant on the jacket is hand-embroidered. This means that no two of the six elephants are exact copies, and no two jackets will ever be completely identical. And in fact, that's the whole point.
