In the walled bazaars of ancient Samarkand, future brides once embroidered their future onto Suzani fabrics. Each blossom held a wish, each vine a blessing for the home they were about to create. The Samarkand Bloom carries a piece of that same tradition, this time through the hands of Jaipur artisans, against a deep Magenta Orchid cotton fabric background. 🌸✨

Large cross-shaped blossoms in Cornflower Blue and Citron Yellow burst across the jacket. Their centers are densely hand-embroidered, and contrasting outlines make the petals appear almost stained-glass-like. The blossoms are connected by winding Coral vines, while delicate Burgundy fern-like branches rise along the front and collar of the jacket. A small nod to the cypress and vine patterns of old Bukhara embroideries.

And colors are not held back here. Magenta, sky blue, mustard yellow, tangerine orange, and wine red come together in a completely wildly joyful artisanal garden. 💗

The jacket's loose and slightly boxy cut allows the entire embroidery to be the center of attention. The open-front model hangs freely and is suitable for layering over a simple shirt, dress, or knitwear. The Navy & White striped lining peeking from the inside of the collar and placket is a small peaceful surprise amidst all this colorfulness.

The Samarkand Bloom boldly plays with this heritage. Motifs inspired by old Samarkand and Bukhara embroideries have been translated into a colorful contemporary jacket by the hands of Jaipur artisans.
